Grid Trading Bot: Buy Low, Sell High Automatically in Sideways Markets

When the price keeps bouncing around a range, trading it by hand is tiring and easy to miss. Grid Trading splits that range into steps: it buys when the price drops a step and sells when it climbs back, turning each swing into a small profit. You set the upper and lower price, the number of grids and the amount — the system places the orders.

This strategy supports Simulation: trades are filled against live prices, but no real orders are placed.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set the price range

Enter a lower and upper price — the range you expect the price to move within. When you create the strategy, the system pre-fills 5% above and below the current price, and you can adjust it.

  2. 2

Split into grids and allocate funds

The range is divided into levels based on your Grid Count, and your investment is spread evenly across them. Each grid has its own order.

  3. 3

Buy the dips, sell the bounces

When the price drops to the next grid it buys; when it climbs back to the one above it sells. The longer the market moves sideways and the more it swings, the more small profits add up.

  4. 4

    Ends at take-profit or stop-loss

If you set a Stop Loss Price or Take Profit Price, the strategy ends once the price falls below or rises above it.

Who it's for

  • People who expect a coin to bounce within a range without a clear direction
  • People who want to profit from sideways swings but don't have time to watch the charts all day
  • People who want the system to handle "buy when it drops, sell when it rises" so emotions don't make them chase highs or panic-sell

Key settings

Lower Price
The bottom of the grid — where you don't expect the price to fall below.
Upper Price
The top of the grid — where you don't expect the price to rise above.
Grid Count
How many grids the range is split into (default 10). More grids mean more frequent trades, but less profit per grid.
Investment Amount (USDT)
The total this strategy will use, spread evenly across the grids.
Stop Loss Price
Optional. Must be below the Lower Price; the strategy ends if the price falls below it.
Take Profit Price
Optional. Must be above the Upper Price; the strategy ends if the price rises above it.

Risks and things to know

If the price keeps falling out of the range, the grid stops trading back and forth, and you're left holding coins bought at higher levels — which may show an unrealized loss.

If the price keeps rising out of the range, the grid has already sold everything, so you miss the rest of the rally.

Each grid's order size can't be below the exchange's minimum order size; if the investment is too small or there are too many grids, creation will be blocked.
