Automated DCA: Recurring Buys and Buying the Dip, Handled for You
Want to build a position in a coin over time, but keep wondering if now is the top? DCA splits your entry into several buys, timed by schedule or by price drops, to spread out your average cost. The system sticks to "buy more as it falls", so you won't freeze during a big drop.
This strategy supports Simulation: trades are filled against live prices, but no real orders are placed.
How it works
- 1
Decide when to make the first buy
Choose "Enter now", or wait until the price reaches your set price ("At a price") to make the first buy.
- 2
Add by time or by price move
Turn on "Time-based" to enter on a fixed schedule; turn on "Price-move" to buy again once the price has dropped a set amount since the last entry. Use either one, or both.
- 3
Recalculate cost after each buy
After every buy, the system recalculates your average cost and resets the sell order based on your Full-position Take Profit.
- 4
Take profit and choose the next round
Once your average cost is up by the set %, everything is sold. Then, depending on the Post-take-profit cooldown, it stops, restarts right away, or waits a while before starting a new round.
Who it's for
- People who believe in a coin long-term and want to build a position gradually
- People who'd rather not guess highs and lows, and want a fixed routine for buying in pieces
- People who tend to hesitate during big drops and want the system to add by the rules
Key settings
- Direction
- "Long (add on dips)" buys more as the price falls; "Short (add on rallies)" sells more as the price rises, futures only.
- Investment Amount (USDT)
- How much each entry uses.
- Position multiplier
- 1 means every entry is the same size; set it higher and each later entry gets bigger — and so does the risk.
- Total Rounds
- The maximum number of buys (default 10).
- Full-position Take Profit (%)
- Sell everything once your average cost is up this much; leave blank for no sell order.
- Stop-Loss Price
- Optional. If the price falls below it (rises above it for shorts), everything is closed and the strategy stops.
Risks and things to know
Buying more as the price falls means the deeper it drops, the more you put in; with a higher Position multiplier, each later entry grows larger and so does the pressure on your funds.
With no Stop-Loss Price, averaging down has no floor — if the market keeps moving against you, losses keep growing.
When you choose several keys, each key runs its own copy, so the Total Rounds and total investment are multiplied by the number of keys.
